The Lean Nurse Rachel Rachel graduated from the Purdue University with a BSN in Nursing. She has worked as an oncology ward nurse, neurology clinic manager, the post-partum/mother-baby units, and currently in the urology clinic. Rachel is an example of a newly formed athlete who only recently started exercising and eating well on a consistent basis. She grew up without any influence towards sports and had no background in diet or fitness until health and wellness education earning her nursing degree. Rachel is the perfect role model for those who don’t have an extensive athletic background but would like to begin eating well, exercising, and achieving fitness goals while, most importantly, becoming healthier. She has made great strides since beginning Leaner Living and her progress can serve as a learning tool for all patients. Over her adult years she has fallen in love with lifting weights and has won many local bench-press and pull-up contests. She also competed and placed second in her first figure competition just a little over a year since having her first child and went on to place high in a large prestigious meet. Check out her blogs for a different perspective and background which hopefully serve as motivation to advance your own Leaner Living lifestyle! Does your nurse even lift? #NursesWhoLift
